7 1/4" gauge tie for 15/16" base rail (actual 7 3/8)
This is our flagship plastic tie for 7 1/4" gauge equipment using our standard 15/16" base rail. It features molded in tie plates set at the correct canted angle to maximize tread surface, tracking and wear life, plus pre-drilled angled holes for our 5/16 stainless track screws. It also features a cast-in wood-grain appearance and high UV resistance for longevity. The 7 3/8" actual gauge follows common practice in the hobby to slightly broad-gauge the track, which helps with tracking and stability of larger engines and rolling stock and tracking around curves.
